Afternoon Explorations for 2022-2023 - Last Day May 12

Continue your learning adventures throughout the school year in some of your favorite spaces at Roper Mountain as part of our Afternoon Explorations program:
  • Explore our new Environmental Science and Sustainability Building, including the highly popular Nature Exchange, Our Water Story, and Sustainable Future exhibits.
  • Search for life-size models of both young and adult dinosaurs at our outdoor Dinosaur Adventure Trail.
  • Enjoy a stroll through our beautiful Butterfly Garden.
  • Engage in creative outdoor play in Wildwood.
  • Because of ongoing school programming, Harrison Hall and the Living History Farm are closed except for days of special events.
  • When:

    Tuesdays - Fridays* from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.
    *excluding days when Roper Mountain is closed for holidays and Greenville County Schools scheduled breaks

    Cost:

    Members: Free
    Non-members: $5/ per person (ages 3+)

    New for this year, Afternoon Explorations will provide additional opportunities to explore some of your favorite areas at Roper Mountain with “First Friday” and “Third Thursday” events. On the first Friday of each month, Harrison Hall of Science will be open along with the Environmental Science and Sustainability Building, allowing guests to interact with many of their favorite animals. In addition, the third Thursday of each month, will feature a special themed event with activities in the Environmental Science and Sustainability Building, Harrison Hall of Science and the Living History Farm as well.
